Background and Use

 1,25-dihydroxy-22-oxacalcitriol  (Maxacalcitol) is a Vitamin D3 analogue which has been shown to be effective in the management of plaque psoriasis (formulated as an ointment) and secondary hyperparathyroidism (formulated as an injection).
